Since the last update on the African swine fever (ASF) situation dated February 6, the Official Veterinary Services (SVO) of the Generalitat of Catalonia have reported the detection of three new secondary outbreaks in wild boars.

A total of 13 cases of wild boar were found dead or as remains. Two of these new cases were located in the municipality of Molins de Rei, so the entire municipality and the adjacent El Papiol have been added to the high-risk zone.

With these, the number of outbreaks reported to date rises to 29, 3 of them primary and 26 secondary, giving a total of 155 positive cases in a total of 6 municipalities: Cerdanyola del Vallès, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Sant Quirze del Vallès, Terrassa, Rubí, and Molins de Rei, which does not represent a relevant epidemiological change with respect to the previous situation.
